I built a terrific form for my SharePoint List in InfoPath.
However, I now need to make three slightly different versions of the form, connected to three different SharePoint lists.
I have been unable to change the Main Data Connection in the InfoPath file to link to a different list.
I exported the source files from the original ...

Hi Thanks i figured out a way of doing this shortly before your reply. Incase anyone wants to know: created a hidden field with a default value of 1, then setup a button to change this value to 2, then a form load rule that says if hidden field=1 then load normal, if value =2 then load to view2 (which is a read only view). Sounds simple ...

Hi,
I have a formula here which uses only one text field for the first and last name. If you are using a separate field, kindly replace the formula for the 2nd concat value (last name) to the proper one.
concat(substring(field1, 1, 1), substring(field1, string-length(field1) - 3, 4))
where substring(field1, string-length(field1) - 3, 4)) ...

When this hidden field has the value of let's say for example ReadOnly, then set conditions on formatting rules to set them as disabled. This appraoch is a bit tedious, but should enable your ...

Querying items from different Sharepoint Libraries will require having different data connections for each of these libraries. We have a previous webinar which shows how Secondary Data connecions and Filters work. I believe that the examples whon on the video were SharePoint lists, but the appraoch should be similar if you want to query ...

Awesome! It works thanks!!!
Ok another question :D
So I'm trying to set a soft SLA. I would like for the "StartDate" field to PROMPT (not forbid) a user that IT requires at least a week to fulfill requests. Also, if they select a "Special Order/APR" Hardware Profile, it will prompt (not forbid) that IT requires at ...

Hi,
I was able to check y our form and noticed that you weren't using a sum(field1) when adding the total sum of a repeating data. Further tests shows that the checkbox isn't refreshing the total sum value. The workaround is going to be a bit tedious so I would suggest using a calculate button that would add all the values. Your ...

Hi Kevin,
I don't think that this is possible with InfoPath alone, but I was able to read somewhere that printing the Rule Inspector content to OneNote, makes all of the text searchable. I haven't personally tried this yet. but hoping that I was able to point you toward the right direction.
