• Re: Time out

The ADOAdapter object has a Timeout property that is used by the ADO data adapter during submit and retrieve data operations from an ActiveX Data Objects/OLEDB external data source. You should be able to do something like this: var oAdapter = XDocument.DataObjects (''MyDataConnection'').QueryAdapter; oAdapter.Timeout = ...

  • Re: Is infopath the right product?

InfoPath can certainly be used the the scenario you just described. Your traveling consultants can have a form template installed on their laptops that will allow them to fill in the form and email it via submit. If you use an code submit hander, you can set a flag such that when the person receives the form on the other end, it knows switch views ...

  • Re: Query Not Working.

Glad you got it working. I make a quick check and it appears to not be a problem with the main data source fields. I created two fields in a blank form, made the default value for field1 to be ''1''. Then I removed it form the view. I didn't have any problem with the form or form template. This must be related to secondary data sources or ...

  • Re: Saving locally.

If you have a file comparison program, such as WinDiff (available as part of MSDN), then you can create a new form that works, and extract both forms out to individual files and do a file comparison. You can do this without an extra program but its a much more tedious process. The most likely culprit will be the manifest.xsf, but it could also be ...

  • Re: Data not being retrieved

Try two things and then get back to me... 1. Go into the Enterprise Manager and verify that the SQL content has been updated in the database. 2. Create a new form which attaches to the database and see if you can get the new form to bring down the updated rows. Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP]

  • A Tall Tale About My Field

I uncovered this problem quite a while ago, but on 2004-09-02 it finally got to me enough, when I needed to actually use a structure like this, to write something about it. I've reported this problem to Microsoft. DESCRIPTION: There is an problem in InfoPath where the designer thinks fields are invalid when in reality they are not. This ...

  • Re: Binding controls to specific repeating elements

In order to access more than one instance of a repeating node, you must use a repeating control of some kind. For your scenario it sounds like the best choice would be to use a repeating section. Create a Repeating Section without controls, or just delete all of the controls out of it after it is inserted. Then add just the attrbite field that ...
