• Re: Is there any way to make DropDownListBox not show the blank option?

Surely changing the default "blank" value to be one of your choices would do the trick?

  • Re: 1) Access Denied when saving InfoPath Form / 2) Template Link appending domain to the start

Thanks for your prompt reply Clay. Re: 2 - yeah I agree I was hoping someone may have found a property within InfoPath to control this but maybe it is just another one of those quirky Microsoft things like 60minutes timeout on the form 1 - I created a custom security permission before but the only option that stopped the error arising was giving ...

  • 1) Access Denied when saving InfoPath Form / 2) Template Link appending domain to the start

I'm currently fighting two problems with Form Services. 1) When users save the form they get the error "Access denied. An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server. Log ID:5337" I can make this go away by giving user's "Manage List" permissions, but don't particularly want to give them access ...

  • Re: AD Web Service Solution

Will this method find a manager's email address? If I pass it the AD value "manager" and am expecting to get that user's email back, and set the "returnedvalue" to be "mail" I just get error of "There is no such object on the server" so either my LPAD string is wrong, or I'm using your ...

  • Re: Broken "Manage form templates" in Central Admin

This in the end was fixed using the commandline tool stsadm.exe -o RemoveFormTemplate -filename c:\MyFormFolder\MyForm.xsn then stsadm.exe -o Execadmsvcjobs and removing an old content type that was kind of locking things up (couldn't remove the content type because it said it was in use in the form library, so had to remove site ...

  • Broken "Manage form templates" in Central Admin

I uploaded a form template whilst waiting for another form to finish upgrading and ran into some problems where the upgrade never completed. I ended up having to try retract the solution and that still stuck so I used the stsadm.exe command to remove the form template that way. By removing that I managed to break Manage form Templates under ...

  • Re: AD Web Service Solution

I am interested in how to get the Manager's email address from AD to add to my form so that when I send an email from the form it goes to the rigth person for approval. I am currently using the Context and ResolvePrinciples technique to populate the user's name and department fields (though that seems to have broken when I moved from WSS ...

OK thanks, just needed a fresh perspective. I've got the email working in code, so if I can figure out a way to get the URL of the current form that would work :-)

  • Re: Browser Based Approval Process

The form is submitted to a folder in the Library called "Awaiting Approval" the workflow then sends the email. When I try using the "email submit" option in the form itself I get a different set of errors. So I guess the options are SharePoint sends the email for approval, or the form sends the email. I can send email from the ...

  • Re: Browser Based Approval Process

Thanks for the quick reply Clay. Yes unfortunately due to the requirements of drilling right down to the nitty gritty details within the form - I had to write some code to cycle through it to populate a seperate SharePoint list for use with our financial system using SharePoint's update list webservice. The server has the right mail settings ...
