Hi All, Is there a way of doing a full form validation using rules on a button?  Preferably with a custom error message? I dont like the "Some Rules were not applied"  This is for a submit button (Submit to email and sharepoint) but I can't use the "Submit" function as I want to use Rules AND ...

Thanks but that won't work how i need it to work.  I need the recipient of the form to be able to see those hidden fields.  In the method above the status will be the same on the attachement that is being sent, hence not being able to see those hidden fields.

Thanks Hilary...tried that and now the login on 2nd row is correct but then all other rows after that are the same as the 2nd? Infopath changed your statement to this; @LOGINID[@DISPLAY_NAME = current()/../CustomerName]  not sure if that is an issue. Thanks

Thats correct, The problem I have is that when the status is changed to sent, it hides the submit button.  So I need to do a validation before the status change and then finally the actuall submit.
