quote:I got a field called ClientID and when I change this I want the rest of fields to change according to that client's information. So thus when my data is retreived from the db a user should be able to select all the relevant ClientID or ClientName from a drop-down list and then when selecting a client from that list all the other info should ...

  • Re: align columns

quote: How do I have to align columns in InfoPath. Is their something like a snap function? Or can I use guidelines. Nope, no snap function. What I do is use the Table Properties to enter exact column widths if I want several different tables' columns to line up.

  • Re: Help with Conditional Code

quote:Appreciate any assistance. ''Any''? I'll tell you what I did when I was in the same situation. I am an experienced VBA script writer and struggled with jscript and vbscript when I first started with InfoPath. I gave up. I got Visual Studio and wrote script for InfoPath in VB.net. quote:Keep in mind that all values are stored as text in the XML file... It is the schema that determines the data type of that text value. So, when you enter ANY value from code, you do it the same way: thisXDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''my:node'').text = ''999'' Greg, thank you very much for your reply. This subject has been driving me nuts. ...

  • Putting numeric values into nodes with VB code

I have several text boxes in my InfoPath form that are defined as double precision, as well as other text boxes that are strings (text). In VB.net code, I can easily assign the value of a string text box: thisXDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''my:node'').text = ''Whatever'' But, what if I want to assign a numeric value to one of the double ...

  • Re: Added fields to a form don't write out to DB.

quote:We changed the binding on the repeating table to include the new columnsI have a question. When you look at the Data Source in the Task Pane, do the new fields look exactly like the previous fields? Are they in the same place? I have a hunch the new fields are not listed in the same way as the others.' (I could be wrong, but that's what I ...

  • Re: I knew it couldnt be over - issue updating databas

You have to ''Submit'' to the database for the changes to be written there. There are two options that I know of. First, you can use the Submit button that is on the toolbar, next to the ''Fill Out A Form'' and ''Open'' buttons. Or, you can create a Submit button in the form itself. Open the task pane, and go to Controls. Add a Button to the ...
