Imagine a simplified form with 3 text fields A, B, and C, and a boolean field D. D functions as a status flag for a work flow. If A or B or C has any input (= not empty) D should be set to true. As far as I can tell there are two way to do this: rules and calculated values. I could create an action rule ‘If A not empty Or B not empty Or C ... However, the next obstacle was just around the corner. The code builds fine, but when I publish it, I get a message that states that the sanbox solution can not be activated because of an error while validating Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.Client. It also states that the solution ... Posted to General (Forum) by AmsterdamSchool on 06-23-2014 Re: Does code behind always require Microsoft.SharePoint.dll? Thank you Jimmy. In this case my code (based on somebody else's sample code) did make use of the SharePoint object model so the ddl was required. I did manage to find it, but then ran into permission issues because my form now needs to be sandboxed (I mentioned this in another post which was also kindly ansewered by you). Thanks. Posted to Controls (Forum) by AmsterdamSchool on 06-23-2014 Re: Fill rich text field with formatted data from list - how can this be done? It is a browser form. Should have mentioned that. Filler mode is not an option. I'll look into qRules, but I already saw that this also requires sandboxed forms. Curretnly the code is less of a problem than the permission, but worth looking in to. Than you. Posted to General (Forum) by AmsterdamSchool on 06-23-2014 Re: Fill rich text field with formatted data from list - how can this be done? A shame that there is no codeless solution to do something that seems as straightforward as retrieving formatted text to go into a rich text box. Oh well... Thanks for the explanation Hilary. Posted to General (Forum) by AmsterdamSchool on 06-20-2014 Re: Fill rich text field with formatted data from list - how can this be done? UPDATE - I am now able to add the code, but it turns out I need admin rights to the site collection in order to upload my form. Not sure if I'll be able to get those and how fast. Is there an non-code solution? Not that I mind doing it in code, but I get stuck on permissions... Thank you Posted to General (Forum) by AmsterdamSchool on 06-20-2014 Fill rich text field with formatted data from list - how can this be done? I'm trying to pull formatted text from a SharePoint list (Office 365) and display it in a rich text box on my form, with it's original formatting. So far all formatting keeps getting lost in the process. I understand it can be done with code behind. I tried this, but because I don't have SharePoint installed locally this is proving to ... Posted to General (Forum) by AmsterdamSchool on 06-20-2014 Does code behind always require Microsoft.SharePoint.dll? I'm trying to add some sample code to a button, for a browser form in SharePoint Online 2013. I understand that browser forms and SharePoint online 2013 are both able to deal with code behind When I want to edit the code in Visual Studio 2012, I get errors because of missing SharePoint namespace in the Microsoft namespace. I found lots of ... Posted to Controls (Forum) by AmsterdamSchool on 06-18-2014 Logic inspector detects errors for field that no longer exists - how do I fix this? My form started to display strange behavior. A rule checked a certain field for being empty. This rule worked as predicted. Letting the same rule test a different field (both simple text fields) it no longer worked. All I changed was the field it looked at in the condition. After a few hours of testing and tweaking I could only conclude that there ... Posted to General (Forum) by AmsterdamSchool on 06-15-2014 Use value from repeating table for workflow Hi, I have a simple form in which users can enter multiple requests via a repeating table of 5 columns. The first three are used to describe the request. The 4th requires a approver to tick a box for approval, the fifth is a field in which another approver has to enter a number. Once all approval boxes have been ticked and all numbers have ...
