 Thanks for the quick answer, it makes perfect sense that I'd need to put in that "is the textbox blank" validation.  I should have caught that, but sometimes the easy things slip past.

Folks, I'm trying to figure out how to write the following statement in my InfoPath form  IF (field1 = 1, or field2 = 1, or field3 = 1...) Set FieldX to 1 Else if (Field1 = 2, or field2 = 2, or field3 = 2...) Set fieldX to 2 Else Set fieldX to 3 Any Ideas?
