Users enter comments, and the form's length varies depending on how many comments there are. Occasionally, the form prints with only the signature on the final page. It would be ideal if InfoPath had some means of specifying a "widow orphan." In this case, if the ... Posted to General (Forum) by cafescott on 05-12-2015 setting up a rule for a date field of type text Hello, We have a form that is in production. One of the fields is a date field. However, in the schema it has a data type of text. I have been asked to add a rule that changes the font to red if the date value has expired; i.e., is less than the current date. Is this possible? I have found that if I try to change the ... Posted to General (Forum) by cafescott on 09-09-2014 Writing Infopath form to PDF loses printer settings Hello, Someone I work with has written a C# application that loads Infopath forms, allows users to edit them and when the user is finished, creates a PDF with each one. The only problem is that the PDF that is created does not accurately resemble the completed InfoPath form. The PDF has too big of fonts and turns ... Posted to General (Forum) by cafescott on 09-05-2014 can Infopath show whether a form page has exceeded its vertical page margin? Hello InfoPath people, We have a form with a table with about 25 rows. In one of the columns of the table is a text box. At the bottom of the page are signature fields which must appear on the same page as the text entered in the text boxes in the table. My end users would like the text box in the table to have ... Include the template in the folder with the other forms. 2. Change the "href" tag referencing the template file for the auto-generated forms to not use any sub-folders. Just the file name works. I have found out that any change to the InfoPath template, no matter how seemingly minor, requires my SSIS task writing the XML to change. I have managed to bulk-generate the forms and they can be edited in InfoPath. I'm trying to figure out how to distribute this to other people, while keeping in mind ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by cafescott on 06-17-2014 The form template cannot be opened bc it was created during preview Hello InfoPath People, I am trying to bulk-generate InfoPath forms for other people to work with. I created a template that meets the needs of the clients. I went to preview mode and saved an XML file. Then I created an SSIS package to create Infopath forms that all resemble this XML file, with some minor changes to ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by cafescott on 05-27-2014 Can I stop Infopath from jumping to the bottom? I'm revising a very long InfoPath form. InfoPath keeps on bouncing me to the bottom when I am trying to work in a specific area. Can this behavior be turned off with an option setting? Thanks, Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by cafescott on 05-20-2014 Re: automatically moving to next line, a pseudo carriage return The reason I am not using a Multi-Line text box is because of printing issues; we can't move a signature field off the page for legal reasons. And, if users have the multi-line capability they likely will push the signature off the page. Also, the button would require the user to leave the top text box and move to the button. This ...
