I am scratching my head trying to make this work with a repeating table... I can create the ... Posted to General (Forum) by pelizdr on 08-29-2012 Re: Infopath 2007 repeating table, select N column Dustin, I think you are suggesting that I add a field to the repeating table? The only issue is, this form is a database template, so the fields are locked, I can't add fields to the repeating table. If I try to insert a field outside of the repeating table, it doesn't repeat :( Posted to General (Forum) by pelizdr on 07-12-2012 Re: I want to display text box based on dropdown list box The easiest way I have found to do this is to: Create the text box field (assuming you want it displayed on the form, put it near the drop down list) If you want to display a mesage in the text box: Create a rule on the drop down list so that if the value = new, set field value (the field you created above) to your message. What I need to do is send an e-mail for each line that comes back from the query. I copied the repeating table lower in the form into a repeating section (where I will put my e-mail information), but I am clueless how to filter the repeating ... Posted to General (Forum) by pelizdr on 07-12-2012 Re: Add an update field to a repeating table Thanks for the response, Ernesto. We only want the users to read the table. The "opportunity" of using a regular form with a database connection is the amount of time it takes for the form to pull in all the data, then filter. Using the database-bound template, the query is much faster, but I agree is limited in scope ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by pelizdr on 07-10-2012 Add an update field to a repeating table I am using a database connection (database template) to get all the asset records from an SQL table based on the user ID. The problem I am having is trying to add a field to the repeating table (not from the SQL source) so the end user can update the budget code. We do not want them writing directly to SQL, but to submit this data ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by pelizdr on 07-09-2012 Rules and Custom Code to create new record in SQL I have been working on an InfoPath form with a connection to SQL server. The standard SQL button options have the ability to create a new record. Great feature, but how do I add that to custom code? My submit button is doing a lot of stuff (like hiding sections, showing sections, sending e-mail, etc...) but I would also like to ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by pelizdr on 12-16-2011 Re: submit data into SQL Server Kalp/Martijn. you do not need to have web services installed to connect an Infopath form to SQL server. When you create the form, you have an option to connect to an SQL server (open Infopath, Design a from Template, Database, then select your database). This will also create some custom action types (run query, new record, ...
