Same error unfortunately. One of my co-workers told me we are getting MOSS 2010 early next year which makes accessing the List data much easier. I'll keep my fingers crossed. :)

I  think my controlled access would prevent me from using Sharepoint Manager. However, I went into Sharepoint Designer and viewed the list's aspx code. I was able to find the GUID I used embedded in the file. Makes me feel like I set the Web Reference up incorrectly?
