After trying to rollback I am now unable to get my infopath project to open visual studio tools for applications through the programming menu option. The error I get is unable to load context. Does anybody know what I might have broken? Posted to General (Forum) by bryanstrader on 05-10-2010 Re: How do you print a "print view" with code? I'm working with 2007, and am not seeing some of the methods they are mentioning. The only thing I've been able to find is this.Print(), which allows you to pass a bool parameter to determine whether or not to show the print dialog. This would work great if I was printing the whole form. My typicall print settings is to print multiple ... Posted to General (Forum) by bryanstrader on 05-06-2010 Re: after submit fields not updating Are you checking if the field has a value before updating it? Maybe already having a value is bypassing the setting of the new value. Maybe post the piece of code you are using...Which event are you using to set the value...? Form_Load()? maybe after the submit to the new form library the code to set the value isn't running. Posted to Code (Forum) by bryanstrader on 05-05-2010 How do you print a "print view" with code? I want to create two buttons on a view. One will print all my print views, the other will print only a few of my print views. This means I need the ability to code which views will print. Can anyone help me on this please? Thanks in advance! Posted to General (Forum) by bryanstrader on 05-05-2010 Secondary data source connection string Is there a way to override the connection string of a secondary data source? Here is my situation: I have a few different secondary data sources in my form. Each time I roll from development to production I have to change each secondary data source to look at the other database. Of course once you switch database, you have to re-link your tables ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by bryanstrader on 04-29-2010 Re: Print View - Keeping tables together Thanks for the response Qazi. My print view is based off of views with dynamic repeating sections, which obviously makes creating a print view a real challenge. This is my single biggest issue with Infopath. I am working in 2007, so hopefully the 2010 version will have some better functionality for supporting print views. If anybody has experience ... Posted to Views (Forum) by bryanstrader on 04-21-2010 Print View - Keeping tables together I have been looking for a way to keep sections together during printing. I haven't seen anything in the other threads that addresses the problem of a table printing on two pages. If anybody has a good way to keep a table from being split onto two pages I would be very interested. As another thread notes, most reporting tools have a "keep ... Posted to Views (Forum) by bryanstrader on 04-20-2010 Re: Conditional Formatting on Repeating Table Thanks for you help Jimmy. I was able to accomplish my task be putting the conditional formatting on the parent group instead of creating a new section all together. I just copied and pasted the section so it exists twice on my view, then based on the row count of the nested repeating table, I either show one section or the other, both of which ... Posted to Views (Forum) by bryanstrader on 04-20-2010 Re: Conditional Formatting on Repeating Table Thanks Jimmy - I was hoping I wouldn't have to alter my data structure at all, which adding a section does. Especially because this is just for the print view part of my form. Do you know of a way I can add a section without binding it to the main data source? Posted to Views (Forum) by bryanstrader on 04-20-2010 Conditional Formatting on Repeating Table I want to hide a table if it has only one record, but show it if it has more than 1 record. The problem is any condition I set seems to be evaluated for each record, so the number of occurrences is always one. I want to set a condition on the repeating table, if count(.) = 1, then hide control.
