Thanks again. The trouble is we dont have sharepoint at all. only MS server2003, runs teminal server, remote in. I have to use this form as a standalone for a while before I intergrate it with sharepoint. Cheers!

Thanks Anuma! No, no connection from external s been added to the form. I tried to add the hyperlink field, S:\tobeattachedfilename, but when you click on that, the IE browser opens with http://s:\tobeattachedfilename, of coz it wont take you to anywhere.   Cheers!
