Hello Zero77, First ensure the compatibility settings are correct. Browse to the library hosting the infopath xml. At the Library go to -- > Settings -- > Document Library Settings  -- > Advance Settings -- > Under browser-enable documents -- > "Display as a Web page"

Once you hit 2000 it gets really slow. So always try to return what you need in the query

Note: You should use CAML query if you have that manny items on a list.

If you are submitting a form and on submit the fields have the correct value, but when open inccorect values are present. 1) Check the rule on the submit button, make sure the connection is correct. 2) Under "Tools" -- > "Data Connections" the connection -- > modify --> "Allow Overwrite if file ...

If I click on the infopath document from the library, I do not get prompted with the Open or save dialog. If I right click on the infopath doc. and open on new tab I get prompted to Open or save the xml. If you are on MOSS Enterprise why not use form services?

 InfoPath vs. SharePoint lists. Infopath is a form and Sharepoint list think of it as a DB table(just store information). You could modify the taxanomy and make a presentable form, but I would just use Infopath as the form and the list to save the information. Also if this is going to be an external site you will need to use Form Services.

Do you have a proxy like ISA? that could be blocking it.

I'm also using self signed certs, so that would not be a problem. I never asked but are you opening the forms from the server or your local device? Do you get the same result from different locations? You might have to reinstall Infopath.

I'm only able to get the "Save Dialogue" when I re-publish the form without Full Trust. Try the following. 1) Open the xsn on Design mode 2) File --> Fill Out Form  and Select the template on the center. Now try again. Wondering if is caching an older version of the xsn.

Does the xsn reside on the same library? If you open the xml on notepad on the top do you see something similar to:  All I could think is that is does not find the template. <?xml version="1.0"?><?mso-infoPathSolution productVersion="12.0.0" PIVersion="1.0.0.0" ...
