• Re: Comparing 2 multiple-selection list boxes looking for identical values.

Thanks JImmy. I just want a count of the intersected items. So if 2 items show up in both lists, a field value is set as 2. You are saying this can only be accomplished with code correct?

  • Comparing 2 multiple-selection list boxes looking for identical values.

This is more of a pipe dream than anything else, but I'll ask anyways! I have 2 multi-selection list boxes containing identical items. For example. Listbox1 contains 10 items (numbers 1-10), as does ListBox2. In Listbox 1... the numbers 1,2,3 are selected. In listbox2, only numbers 1 and 2 are selected. Are ...

  • Re: Count of a multiple-selection list box.

Hey Jimmy, THis is actually what I'm attemptingto do! I created a rule in the multi-select list box to set the value of my other field to Count(multi-select field). The problem is it will only display a count of 1. Attached are pictures of what I tried to do. Name of my listbox field is Type_of_Policy_Referred and my field ...

  • Re: Count of a multiple-selection list box.

Hey Jimmy, Thanks for the reply. I was just using the Count() function wrong. I tried using it as the default value for my textbox (to update when a field changes.) but it would only update once. I simply created a button that gets the count AFTER information is entered into the multiple-selection box.

  • Count of a multiple-selection list box.

Good afternoon. I'm having a terrible time with something that SEEMS relatively easy. I have 2 fields, Insurance_Products and Number_Of_Policies. Insurance products is a multiple selection box with 12 entries in it. All i'm trying to do is set the Number_Of_Policies field to equal the number of selected items inthe ...

  • Receive data from Sharepoint List... logic on columns.

Good afternoon, Not sure if this is possible but I'll ask anyways! I'm creating a form where I want to query a specific column in my sharepoint list. Example - I have a infopath field called "referral name". A user enters a name here (John Smith) What I'd like to do is query a corresponding list column in ...

  • Re: Populate a sharepoint list into respective fields in infopath form

You need to do two things. First - Create a data connection to receive data from your SharePoint list. Second - Create a rule in your list drop-down control to query your recently created data connection, and then set the field values (in your infopath form) according to the list-box entry. Example - you want to set the phone ...

  • Re: Pass data from one form to another.

Thanks Greg for the response. I have one question (which is probably an idiot question.) This method of doing things appears to only allow me to pass static values into the new form. How do I pass dynamic values into the new form? In my example... the job posting number is going to be different for each new position that ...

  • Pass data from one form to another.

Good Afternoon, First... thank you for creating the Active Directory Web service. I absolutely love it and don't know how I'd use Infopath without it! Currently we have a job posting form (when a new position is available at the company) that HR fills out that gets emailed to all employees, as well as posted in a ...
