Glad recreating worked. Published to my SHP 2010 - and the scroll bar displayed as expected - so who knows what caused this.

No - I wouldn't consider that really big. Tomorrow some time I'll try publishing the template to one of my SharePoint sites, just to see if I get a scroll bar or not - I should have a functioning SharePoint 2010 site someplace.

So - when you republished the template to a new library, the same issue with scrolling occurred? If you take a copy of the form that is in a working library, and publish it to a new library (as a test) does scrolling work? I'm trying to understand if the issue is: Scrolling is broken in any library newly created / updated or specific to this ...

Yah, I'll take a look later today - I can't imagine the form is causing the issues with the view - I'd assume you'd have a similar issue with any list / library where there are more columns displayed than you can see w/out scrolling? I wasn't clear from your earlier post if the issue is reproducing in a new library?

Do you have the site in compatibility view in IE? No - I've not run into this at all. It doesn't seem like the view is the issue, then - but something is preventing the expected scroll bar from showing. How icky.

Then in the new library, you can go to the Relink view (it should be in your View menu) and relink all the files. WARNING: This will change Created / Created By and Modified / ...

I'm dying to know about the upgrade - you have a test farm set up? Are your forms all working well?

That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard of. I guess I would start by creating a new view with all the columns you wish to have displayed and see if they display as desired. If so - easiest thing might be to set that as the default view.

I don't know of anything (and I confess I've only never used External Data beyond adding a column as a test one time) - but is there any way to copy the data into a "normal" column using workflow or something? I do see that I can add an External Data control in a browser form - I'm not really clear on your end goal, I'm ...

I don't quite understand the description of the issue - are the actual columns not being displayed? Or the columns are displayed and have no data? Is this on prem or Office 365 SharePoint?
