Are you are wondering how to populate a lot of default data?
I would have a default record in your tables that would be used as a template. So if knee was selected it would load the default knee template information and then the orthopedist could modify it from there. You may need a secondary data connection to load these depending on your data ...

Here is your thread from before.http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2695
Unless you have an XP Tablet PC with the XP Tablet OS you are not going to have the ink functionality. On an XP Tablet you can turn ink on or off or change the properties of the ink using the toolbar.

Yah I spoke with Greg about this and got the solution.
Unfortunately Infopath does not have a filter for the field entry when setting a Fields Value via a rule. So with a repeating field like the CAML it sets all of them instead of letting you specify each field. So what you have to do it set the field like you would but then extract the form ...

The first thing I would do is follow the example and put the actual fields from your caml template on your form. Update a value and submit / refresh and verify you are able to update the SharePoint list. I think you should no longer have any problem.
As far as programatically setting the value that is a bit more challenging. I have not figured ...

You might want to try another list even a sample.
The issue is that the GUID is not being resolved properly. So if you are sure the GUID is right then it probably is that you are refering to the wrong site.
One thing I thought of is the data connection you are submiting with.. You need to navigate to the lists.asmx for the specific subsite ...

Actually scratch that. I accidentally deleted a number too. So, as I thought I had seen before, the brackets are optional. However if the GUID is not correct you get the error you are seeing. Need to double check that the GUID you see when you modify settings is the one you have listed in your field.
-
I noticed you do not have your GUID in {}. I just tried removing brackets in my form and I got the exact same error you have listed here. This is in 2003 but looking at my 2007 example I have brackets on it as well. I put my GUID in as the Default Value. I am not sure how you are doing it but that could maybe cause an issue when setting a value ...

You could post the eror message. Also maybe a copy of your CAML and the syntax of your GUID.

I am not sure it is possible to have the GUID in the CAML template. I thought it needed to be another field since the GUID is identifying the list and not part ...

Raoul,
Greg can probably help you better with your specific question but I thought I would pass on this link that I have used to successfully pass variables to a new form.
