Hi
I would probably change the data structure and then cascade it, use the current() function and set rules to blank out the second DD where first DD is changed.
If I couldn't change the data structure, you would have to look at applying the current() function in your code, but I think this might not be straightforward.
I hope this ...

Hi
Good news, you need only set it in the rule and not the default value, one other tip you can un-tick the "Update this value when the result of the formula is recalculated " that should achieve the same result, but to be absolutely sure use the rule that is linked to the button on submit that sets
Hidden Datefield = Today(). ...

I think you could do this without code by putting a button on the form defined as rules and custom code that creates a new form but also prepopulates the fields you want so button opens new form and in the form options, save and save as, Rules, and add a rule such that if a new form is opened up set Field A to (last Field A) and so on
I ...

Hi
For my two-penny's worth you can do it without code as long as you have a field value linked to each view and use that value to change the view of the form. For example
@View = 1 is view 1 @View = 2 is view 2 and so on. Then set your validation on the field to also look at the value of the @View field to determine whether to ...

Hi
I would do and do much as Clay suggests and use a field to control what view is shown by setting rules from the 'Tools', 'Form Options', 'Save and Save As' and click 'Rules' to set set field1 to A for first view, B for second view and so on. This way you use validation linked with your workflow field on ...

Hi
I think the simplest way to achieve this would be to add a data connection to a web service that then connects to the output XML file. Natively InfoPath does not allow amendment of secondary data connections unless it is via a web service. Then link the button to the web service data connection and there you are.

Hi
First question, are the text fields in the repeating table? Second question, if they are, are you trying to display the concat outside of the repeating table?
Thirdly, I think what you are asking is the you have a single Field in a repeating table and you are looking to concatenate all the instances of field 1 in the form ...

Hi
I am a little bit out of my depth here but I think I might be able to shed some light on some of the behaviours.
the "Permission Denied" on the XDocument.UI.ShowModalDialogue happens when the form is not in full trust, could this be down to Internet Explorer blocking the opening of a new page, full trust solves this. ...

Hi feesh
What I think you have in group terms is
Master
Detail
Repeat
Repeat1 Repeat 2
With this structure you say you can successfully copy across the detail section but not the repeating tables. I would presume this is because they are preceding-preceding sibling or indeed preceding-preceding-preceding sibling. I ...

Hi
What I think RLPope was suggesting was to set a number of rules on the hidden field that are conditional by the check boxes not being blank. For example,
Rule 1 Check-Box(CB) A is not blank and CB B is not blank and CB C is not blank and CB D is not blank Action Set a field's value, hidden field, concat(CBA, CBB, CBC, ...
