We have some products that could help you and wouldn't require any code.
DBXL will help you retrieve SQL queries into your InfoPath form and also submit data from an InfoPath form back into SQL: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/DBXL.aspx

The MSLB control needs to be bound to a specific schema, that is a single repeating text field. As long as your database field can match this schema then its possible. If not, then I'm afraid you're out of luck.

That's interesting. Perhaps its a special character that InfoPath has a hard time accepting. Does your form submit or are you saving instead? If its the former, are you specifying the save name for the user?
If its a common occurence, you could create some data validation to warn the user if there is that special character ...

Not sure if I understand your scenario completely, but I'll try my best to offer some suggestions on what you could do. One option that comes to mind is a mashup that uses web parts and part to part connections to display this form library view you are talking about. You can use input parameters to do that. See this blog post for more info:

If you are looking for a no code solution, I would look into qRules as it has a command to retrieve input parameters without having to write any code. More info: ...

You could do a substring to grab everything up to the slash and then uppercase that string. Likewise for everything after the slash but instead doing lowercase.

Hi there,
Could you elaborate more on what you need help on? Sounds like you want a details section that will display info based on the options selected in the repeating table.
If you can get your hands on 2007 or later, there is a multiple selection list box control out of the box that you could use that may be a lot easier.

Here is a video that might help: http://channel9.msdn.com/Blogs/laurhar/InfoPath-2010-Create-tabs-using-picture-buttons-dupe
The video is for 2010 and picture buttons. But you can use regular buttons instead and the concept will be the same.
