Okay - so when I type GenerateGuid in the command field and tab out, there is a GUID in your result field. That means qRules is working correctly in your form.
In your SubmitToSharePointList command, remove the /mapping parameter, you don't need it.
SubmitToSharePointList /submit=ShPListSubmit
If you put the Qdabra Rules error node on your ...

I'm thinking your real problem may be that you want to copy data from one repeating table (your SharePoint secondary data source) into another (your main data source) - is that correct? That is tricky without using code (or qRules - where you can use rules to execute code from a pre-built library).

Hi Hilary
I have uploaded the file as requested. I added the fields but them both come up blank. I checked and they are not disabled as far as I can tell.

I don't think InfoPath is going to let you do this out of the box - SharePoint List forms are pretty different from forms that can submit to a library, unfortunately.
I think you'd have to start with an InfoPath form intended for use with a library, then use qRules, code or a CAML query to submit your list info.

Hi - I'd be happy to take a look at your template if you want to post in a reply (just add it under the Options tab). Sometimes people disable qRules by accidentally adding code to a template - could that have happened here? I have a follow up question . . .is there anyway that I can 'refresh' the repeating table with upates made in the SharePoint list without executing the QUERY again? After ...

If you add the Qdabra Rules Error node (from the QdabraRules data source) do you get any errors when you attempt this? You are setting the column that you have mapped as the SharePoint ID to a valid list item id?

I am using qRules to update a SharePoint list from an infopath filler form repeating table. The qrules SubmitToSharePoint command works great when I read in filtered data into the repeating table from the SharePoint list, make edits, and then read back to the list using SubmitToSharePoint. I am also able to add a new ...

I'd have a field in the form's data source for "status" and set it to submitted when the form is submitted. Then I'd add logic to the form's loading rules to switch to a read only view if status = submitted.
