I think Kalyan did not understand what you were trying to accomplish. His link is for setting fields you use to a blank value. I believe you are wanting to clean up excess fields in your schema now that you have gone through the learning curve and your form is ready for production. I have always longed for a way to find if a field was actually ...

Real-time monitoring cannot be done in InfoPath alone since InfoPath forms are not persistent (running all the time). You would need a backend process or service that would constantly monitor tasks and dates and generate the notifications. Or like Kalyan says scheduled jobs that would run each day or periodically to check the data.
Maybe you ...

To my knowledge the Mail Data Connection is all client side. When the connection runs it looks to interact with Outllok, the default mail client, to give it the To, Subject, Attachment, Body, in the same way that a mailto html link would. I would have to think that SharePoint is not the culprit but that it has something to do with the client ...

Since I do not know of a way to make sections read-only I think you are stuck with it by field. The only suggestion I would make is changing the form design not to show the same data as many times or designate one view for entry and have the rest as read-only. Often putting a little bit more structure to the process or controling user ...

This is pretty simple. Create another field in your Main Data Source, a true false would be fine called saved or something, but do not put it in your form view. When the user clicks the submit button have a rule set this new field that sets it to true. Then put a conditional format on the button to be disabled if saved field = true.
Keeping ...

InfoPath is a great solution for this, especially with Tablet PC's, since Tablet integration has been built in. I have managed similar migrations from Access User Interfaces to InfoPath and the user experience is much improved as well as the development is much easier and the UI capabilities much greater.
You would need to look at your from ...

I worked on something similar. I would recommend a database to capture the information but this could be done completely in InfoPath. My understanding is you would have a formal scored/signed/summary page but then you want a detail view with notes, comments, etc.
I would use a form with multuiple views, capture the details in one view for the ...

Yah for 2003 you have to use the datediff function in code to calculate 10 days out. Store this in a field and then you cna do date comparisons against it I can get you a sample if you need or there may be some already here if you search.

I would use one or more flag fields (A text or number field created for this purpose) to monitor status. When the form is saved or submitted the flag field increments or changes value. You may want to have one for each signature line and as that person clicks to sign have a rule also mark the flag field. That way you can put complimentary ...

You may be getting the header, which you can not control conditionally but can be turned off completely. I have put my header right above the repeating section in its own section so I can hide it or enable it myself. This way you can make everything completely disappear. Also while testing or troubleshooting conditional formatting I will have ...
