How are you identifying which question in your XML should be displayed for a given list row? Is there an ID or something? Is it the name of the node?
-
Sorry - I don't really know of a way to do this. Is the sample you are showing representative of your actual data? Could it be the user could just pass in a start year, and you could use formulas in Excel to populate additional fields with that year incremented?

Thanks for the sample - I'll try to take a look later today and let you know my thoughts.

SharePoint Online no longer supports InfoPath Forms with code. It also doesn't support calling certain SharePoint web services - like the UpdateListItems method of the lists service - so CAML won't work there either. FormsViewer (a product built by the company I work for) can do this - more info here: ...

I would add the new fields to the XML without trying to open each one in InfoPath, just directly updating the XML file - and I'd probably do that via applying an XSLT. If you save your form template as source files (from the Publish menu) you'll find upgrade.xsl in those files. That is what InfoPath is applying to your existing XML when ...

Ok - we met and walked through this - it looks like there may have been some confusion on which workflow was running - that the logging was added to a copy of the workflow which was not the one that was actually being run. It also looked like maybe SharePoint was scared of me & just started behaving. :)

Yeah, I don't know how you could manually add a missing form to the user's cache. You could try publishing the template to a network location all users have access to? If they have existing locally saved XML they need to finish filling out, you'd need to change the InfoPath PI to point to the network form (fill out and save an XML from ...

Ok - so given that you want this set to a value but then also want to allow the user to overwrite that value in some circumstances, I would say you definitely do not want to use a default value here. Instead, you need to place rules on all the fields involved in the calculation that set this field. I'm confused, though, about several things. ...

Thank you - I learned so much from this forum when I was learning InfoPath that I'm always happy to hear that I've helped someone else. Have a great weekend!

What do you mean that logging was not working? What were you logging? How is it failing to log? Do you mean no log entries are written? Sorry, just trying to understand why logging is not helpful. I guess I'd try setting the Office field to a property you know is working, like Department, so you can figure out if the issue is with the value ...
