  • Re: Changing Views

InfoPath does not allow you to switch views, during a view switch. You may not think you are doing that, but you likely are (so far as InfoPath is concerned). Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP] InfoPathDev

  • Re: Repeating Cascading Lists of Cascading Lists, v1.0

If I understand correctly what you are asking, what you need to do is manually type in the ''preceding'' part. There is no option for this in the InfoPath UI. Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP] InfoPathDev

  • Preserve Code Blocks (xd:preserve) and Input Tags

InfoPath allows you, the template developer, to manually modify templates to include XSL features that are not directly supported from within the InfoPath designer. These are called Preserve Code Blocks. To create a Preserve Code Block, simply change the mode attribute for both the xsl:template and the xsl:apply-templates to have a value of ...

  • Re: Exporting infopath form data (as XML) to Word 2003

Here's some sample code I pulled off the newsgroup. I haven't tried it myself. It's JScript code. var wdApp; wdApp = new ActiveXObject(''Word.Application''); wdApp.Visible = true; wdApp.WindowState = 1; wdApp.Documents.Open(''C:\\Documents and Settings\\username\\Desktop\\test.doc''); Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP]

Then you will not need to set a default choice for the drop-down list. Have an ''actual'' default value in the field will automatically select the correct ...

  • Re: Problem in Navigating to Views

Do you have an OnSwitchView event handler defined? It sounds like you've got some code which is taking a while to complete. The dialog box you are seeing is normal for code that takes longer than a certain amount of time (I'm not sure what that length is). Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP]

  • Re: How to close a form?

You would use: thisXDocument.View.Window.Close(true); Boolean Parameter: true = don't show a dialog box asking if the user wants to close. false = show the dialog box. Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP]

  • Re: Comma Delimited Attribute Value

Let's assume you have a repeating section/table displaying a list of colors, each with a check box next to them. You can write some code in the OnAfterChange event for the check box that goes through the list of colors, see which ones are selected and create a concatenated string of them, separated by commas. Then you take that concatenated ...
