Can I also see your template?

Could you attach a screenshot in a reply that shows the issue? I think I understand what you mean, but a screenshot would help me.... You can attach a file under the Options tab in a reply.

See attached. Save the file locally, right click and select Design, then preview. I included some screenshots to help you find where these settings are: Data > Default Data on the ribbon.

Well - you could put a calculated value on the form so you can see what the max function returns when used on the field you are wanting the max of - and then experiment from there.

The reset number rule was in case there were no result returned from the query, so that the first item was set to 1. I don't recall dealing with non-numbers like 01.1 and 02.01 in your original form. I'm not sure how the max function will work with those.

I don't believe so, but I may not be understanding what your question is? Do you want to change the text on the file attachment control? I don't think that is possible. But if you want to hide the file attachment control unless a button is clicked, that would be possible.... of course, then your users have two clicks to attach a file ...

Try this one. In the rule that is to set the number field, you were using the main data source field rather than the secondary.

You'll probably need to use "div" instead of "/".
If you use a function in the function builder like this:
field1 / 2
and then select Edit XPath so you can see the XPath, you'll see something like:
../../my:field1 div 2

concat(YourFieldHere, substring(translate(now(), "_-:T", ""), 3, 5))

So - yes & no. Out of the box, there is no way to use rules to add rows to a repeating table. However, you could include a max number of rows by default in the form (say, 100) and then display the correct count if the option button is = no. See attached sample - in the sample, I have set the max rows to 10 because I am too lazy to add 100. :) ...
