Hello Dave,
An easier method may be to use 2 helper fields and concatenate them in a third field. The first field would be limited to 4 characters and the second would be limited to 3. Then set actions that when both fields are not blank, set the third field to concat(field1, " ", field2). I would still use the translate function on ...

Hello Ravi,
In this instance you would want to use 4 conditions on a number field. The condition is: FieldWithNumber does no contain .25 Show screen tip and.... Repeat for .50, .75 and .00
Hope that helps!

Hello Duchess,
I would try using a "copy" button and submit data connection. As a best practice, create a field in your form called "FormName". On form open I generally will set it to something that is unique, such as concat(username(), "-", now()) only when FormName is blank. Then in the ...

Hello Henry,
For a simple fix I would add a rule to either the Name field or FormLoad to set the Notice field to the concatenation, instead of the default value. When a field contains a default value, the form will recalculate to the original value when set to always update. By using a rule, you will then be able to change the ...

Thanks Bre and snturner for leading me in the right direction. I finally got this working with the use of Rules! Works like a charm. Part of my issue was that the fields were calculated fields - which don't work with Rules as needed (I didn't know that at first). Converting these fields to Text type fields ...

Hi Hilary,
Thanks for the suggestion. Worked great.
One thing I noticed is when running the command(GetUserProfilebyName) via the InfoPath client(hosted on 365), i'm able to retrieve department, username etc. When published and run as a web form on 365, I can only get the DIsplay name. Is this a limitation? If so is there ...

Hi Hilary,
I'm trying to look for PowerShell guidance to update forms (the XML docs) in an InfoPath form library via PowerShell, and I'm a bit stuck... wondering if you have found any scripts to do that.
I've seen uses of Set-Content and also .Save, but to save without changing the modified info is usually done via ...

I am one step away from getting this to work. I am trying to update a SP 2010 list using InfoPath 2010. My functionality is working except when I submit the data does not update. I am updating in the form code. I have no clue why it is not updating. Any help is appreciated.
This is what I based my solution on:

Thank you so much. I am hoping that in doing this I can get it to lay out in columns because in a columnar format would make the form too long. The example I included in the first post is the actual list of countries that need to be displayed.
And that sentence made about as much sense as anything I have heard today. I actually meant to ...

Sorry - I haven't been able to track down my sample w/ the multiselect yet. But what I would do is:
Use a repeating section w/ 2 controls in it - a checkbox and a calculated value
Use qRules to insert the right number of these based on the number of items in your list
Use form rules on the repeating group to set the value of the ...
