So - here is what I'm struggling to understand still. What data from the secondary XML you want where in the main data source. I think what you want can be done with default values but I just don't understand the relationship between the main data source and the secondary XML data source. Can you tell me what goes where?

I want to be able to submit my data to a list via my infopath 2010 form and I want to edit via the default sharepoint form.   Is there a way to do it?  I know you can switch between the 2 in form options, but it is all or nothing.   I used XML to allow me to do multiple list items at a time ...

Thanks - I'm going to compare this to the XML returned from one of our 2013 task lists and verify that refresh works on one of our servers then we'll go from there.
