How to retrieve the DocID for a newly submitted form

Sometimes we need to know the DocID for an xml documents that was just submitted to DBXL. For example, we might want to send an email with the link to the submitted document. DBXL requires Microsoft's SQL Server 2005 or 2008. You can obtain the free (Express) versions from Microsoft if your server does not have SQL installed. Once SQL is installed and ready, go ahead with the DBXL installation.

Hi Martijn, and thanks for trying DBXL. In the SQL Server Tab, the server name you will need to fill in is the name of your SQL instance. If you haven't seen out Installation Guide, take a look, and if you have any other questions, let us know.

Hi, As far as qRules is concerned, you'll want to display the Error, Success and Result nodes in the view, temporarily. These fields will tell you whether there is an issue with your command. I don't fully understand your scenario, but someone else should be able to reply with more information. You're in the right place. Thanks.

Re: DBXL Mapping, workflow and propagate deletes

The document you link to in the last paragraph will allow you to use Workflow with Object Model, and therefore use IPFS and Propagate deletes. For DBXL v2.5, the DLL files should be in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\QdabraWebService\. Can you check the folders there? Thanks.

If you publish the same form to a new form library, does the issue happen again? I ask because you might have a corrupt form library.

Interesting conundrum, right? The barcode is generated on submit, so it's a challenge to include the barcode when the form is submitted. I would suggest: 1. Submit 2. Query to get the barcode 3. Resubmit and close the form. Do you think this would work for you? I can't think of anything else.
