You need to do it manually.
One easy way to set the widths other than in the UI is to open the up view.xsl and set the column width there.
1. First create the repeating tables.
2. Open the XSL file and change the widths for each table.

Hi Jim,
Did you create these files by filling out the form? If yes you cannot create the xsn file with those files. XML files are just data containers they donot contain any info about the template.xsn
One way is you can create a template.xsn with same schema as these files and use those files again.

Yes.
In InfoPath all values that are shown in the UI are stored somewhere in the XML, it can be in Main Dom or a secondary Dom.
You can right click on the control and click ''Show Datasource'' then you will see the source if the data for that control in the taskpane.

In InfoPath you cannot refer to controls that are there in the UI Direcly from the code.
In InfoPath controls are bound to XML fields and you get data from the XML fields and use them in the code.
for ex:
XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''/my:myFields/my:ProjectName'').text;
This line will get data from the XML ...

You cannot copy a template published to another location to your local computer and work with it. In order for the form to work properly you either need to publish the form to your local machine or you need to maintain the same folder structure in all the machines that you intend to use it from and place the template.xsn file in folder.
If you ...

Hi,
There are two ways you do it,
1. Insert the control using
XDocument.View.ExecuteAction(''xOptional::insert'', ''ctrlid'');
ctrlid - is the id of your optionalsection.
You can write this peace of code in OnAfterChange event of the checkbox.
2. Prepare the XML node and add it you DOM using some code.

You can get data from the Sharepoint List using ''Lists'' webservice provided by sharepoint. You will get data in the form of an XML. If you want you convert it to an array applying some logic and use that data.

I dont see any problem in you calling the code, you first try out calling the webservice from IE and check out how much time it is taking. Depending upon that you can set the timeout on your control.
Any way the time that you are giving is in Milliseconds, try giving a higher number or the time that IE takes to call the webservice and check out ...
