Hi there,
I don't think stopping the backspace will be possible since thats the browser behavior that is taking over at that point. Perhaps what you can do is make it not look like a textbox by either removing the borders or using a calculated value control instead. Hopefully this will prevent users from thinking they can ...

If you're using SharePoint 2010, you can use queryFields. In the list data connection, there should be query fields and data fields. If you enter criteria into the query fields and query that data connection, it will only return the data that's matches that criteria in the data fields. The search is limited to only equal ...

If you click on any of those rules in the left dropdown and select this expression, it will expand out the rule as an xpath. You can now add to this rule at the end of it by typing out "and" then the next expression, etc. This way you can have 20 expressions in a single rule.

Hi there,
Unfortunately not very easily in the way you described. Perhaps one of these suggestions could work for you:
1) Create a filter that will show you only a certain number of rows based on criteria. One view could only display row where Type = A for example and then the other view only when Type = B.
2) Haven't tried ...

You can set up the form to save to a SharePoint library and submit via email as well. Just set up two submit data connections so that it does both at the same time. Or you can use workflow to say when an item is created in the library to send an email to certain individuals. If you are talking about generating a doc or pdf, I ...

Let's say the variables are Completed1, Completed2, Completed3, and CompletedAll. The rule needs to say if completed1/2/3 = TRUE, then set a fields value CompletedAll = TRUE. The rules needs to ...

Hi there,
I don't believe there is a way to customize this specific error message. I think this is just a schema error message that its displaying. Have you tried using InfoPath's data validation rules to limit the number of sections? With data validation you can customize your own error message.

In the properties you can enter a formula (fx button) for the calculated value control. This is where you would build your concat statement. Let me know if you still can't find it. Good luck!

Here is a good article to look over that summarizes the major items that will slow down performance for your browser form. Note that most will also apply to 2010 as well.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb380251(v=office.12).aspx
The point you called out is saying that using filters will retrieve all the data (however many that is) ...

If you broke up the time elements into separate pieces it would be pretty easy with some rules to make sure the time falls within your window. So have an hour control, minute control, and am/pm dropdown. Then create your custom logic to ensure that the time is between 8am and 230pm. Hope that makes sense. If you need some ...
