Newbie here! Is it possible to build a rule that force closes a form based on an error? People are hitting ok on the error then submitting the form again causing issues.
-
I guess for the first item, you'd have to requery the list the form submits to in order to find out if there is anything already in the list for a given tester id and schedule. Then you could mark the current request as cancelled (if that is what you are trying to do?)
For the second item, you should be able to just create a validation ...

HI all,
I have an InfoPath form that as 3 attachment controls.
When the form submits to the Library, a workflow runs and I need to upload the attachments to a different document Library.
Does any one know how to extract the attachments from the form? I would appreciate any help or direction.
Thanks,
Paul Gemme

For what it's worth, I ran into the same issue. All my people picker fields were set to allow multiple entries at the request of the user. I changed them to a single entry on the list and which fixed the problem. But I have no idea how to avoid this with multiple entries activated.

Hi Dave,
You might want to check out qRules' SubmitToSharePointList command for a codeless approach on submitting data to a SharePoint list.
And here is a guide you can use:

Hi Don, I looked at this already and it doesn't exactly match what I am trying to achieve. It may be easier to see if there is an out of the box solution to meet my needs.

Hi Dave,
I'm sorry to hear that. We have a blog post here which discusses the submit to SHarePoint technique via CAML in full detail:
http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/matt/archive/2006/02/02/Add-SharePoint-List-Items-with-InfoPath.aspx
Hope this helps.

Hi Don, I am having no luck with this project. I am still where I was in my last post and can't seem to get any further forward.
Is anyone able to assist with the creation of the rules as the video doesn't cover them individually in enough detail.

That works but leaves tons of empty repeating spaces in between....any way to hide those repeating empty spaces?

thank you for your replay,
i have tried this approach before, it doesn't work because that requires infopath to do Loop back calls for the SharePoint web services which is not allowed in o365 as per this article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2674193
anyways, i appreciate your replay,
thank you.
