If your field has a datatype of number, this will happen. Can I see your form?

Oh, I was using Chrome. :) I mean the text box properties on the InfoPath form - under the Display tab (right click the text box and select text box properties). I didn't realize you were using a SharePoint list form, however - it could be those behave differently.

I just tried this - setting the properties of the textbox to multiple lines was all I needed to do to get it to work as anticipated. Feel free to attach a copy of your form if you'd like me to take a look or try it on my O365 site. You can attach a template under "Options" in a reply.

Use the addSeconds function - but I'd probably add that first, then use substring-after to get the time. See attached - save the file locally, right click & select Design. Formula is: addSeconds(now(), 43200)

So - are you running this on load? If so - change the data connection to not run on load. Then, for testing, put the query and data fields on the form, along with a button that executes the query. Also, put a calculated value on the form that shows the userName() function. Then you can test in the browser - I'd think that you'd want a form ...

I tested this on SharePoint online - the From address was no-reply@sharepointonline.com. I tested on an on-prem 2010 and the From address was a service account email that was used when outgoing email was configured in central admin. You may want to check w/ your SharePoint admins on this, see what the settings are for email for the SharePoint ...

And this is in InfoPath filler, right? I've never heard of such a thing... I think I'd start by testing a brand new form. Just add an attachment control and publish to a test library. See what happens.

Will this form be used in the browser or in InfoPath Filler? In Filler, the email submit will use whoever submits as the "from" email - so you may want to just use workflow on the library it submits to instead. In the browser, I think it will use the email account that SharePoint is configured to send email from.

Hmmmm. Maybe promote a field indicating if the form is approved.... and query the library on form load to find out if the current form the user has just opened is approved? I know we can add a data connection to a form library and indicate that we want data for this form only - so perhaps try that option first and see what happens. Otherwise you ...

When you promote the field, you can change the promotion for repeating fields to "merge". For the email - if your email follows the pattern accountid@domain.com you can use another field with a double eval to create a single, semicolon delimited string that you can promote. More suggestions here: ...
