• Re: How to pass dynamic values to webservices Parameters

A receive data connection should work for this. What is the method signature of the web method you're calling (what are the output data types)?

  • Re: Query about response view and repeating section

You should use a repeating section or table with filtering (conditional formatting to hide all of the rows except for the one that is the current RES).

  • Re: How does infopath make repeating table determination

Could you attach a screenshot of the data source so that we can clearly see what you're describing? Could you also also describe what the web service's input and output data types are (as in string, int, array, etc.).

  • Re: XPathNavigator.Clone() not really cloning?

I already described how to get around the issue. Why don't you try it out for yourself?

  • Re: Picture in RichTextBox

You need to insert an <img> node into your rich text as follows: <img xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="msoinline/identifier" xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003" xd:inline="img data" />You can also include a ...

  • Re: XPath query with parameter

To have XPath reference the main data source when it is already in the context of another, you can use xdXDocument:get-DOM(): xdXDocument:GetDOM("ClientInformationDC")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:Companies[@ID = xdXDocument:get-DOM()/my:myFields/my:ClientInformation/my:CompanyID]/@NameInfoPath will usually do this for you ...

  • Re: Conditional Expression OR security trimming controls

Yes, it will work if there is any match in the list, and there's no need to use that translate() hack. The msxsl:string-compare is there to perform a case-insensitive string comparison.

  • Re: Conditional Expression OR security trimming controls

Please try this formula: not(SustainApprovers/@Person[msxsl:string-compare(., MyCurrentUser, '', 'i') = 0]) You'll of course need to provide the full paths to @Person and MyCurrentUser, not these simplified versions.

  • Re: xml help please.

Hello Catharine, Please try changing this: my:Asset[. != "" and 1]to this:my:Asset[. != ""][1] The [number] node test only works when the number is in the brackets by itself. In the and expression you have there, the 1 is being treated as the boolean value true, giving it essentially no meaning at all.

  • Re: Submit to DBXL

To clarify what Mel said, SubmitToDbxl does inject the docId into the form's XML so that subsequent submits will update the form that was initially submitted.
