Hi Joanne,
That's weird that it works for the City but not the others. If you're using browser form it might have something to do with postbacks for that field - double click on the control and go to Browser and select always send info back to server. That may fix the filtering. the browser in MOSS 2007 has ...

Sounds like what you want to do is bulk edit of the last column for one or more rows (if they're checked). Is that correct?
If so, you might be able to use a nested eval(eval(...)) and xpath to iterate through the list and set them but it's possible you can't easily do this with out-of-the-box InfoPath.
We created qRules to address ...

Silly idea but why not just copy the value to a text field using a substring function to get all of the digits before the decimal point and the first five after the decimal point.

You don't ...

Hi Catharine,
I've never seen that warning message before. My guess is that maybe you had a previously installed URN version of the form (MSI deployment) and that the form on the SharePoint site was deployed as a URN based solution and was since updated. That is indeed a corner case but it could produce something like what you saw.
Best!

Hi Mel,
As you know, AddDays xpath function wasn't added until 2007...
You could use substring to extract the day from a date and add to it. If it exceeds the number of days in the month you'd have to also extract the month and increment it. Lots of rules but no code required. You can set the value to another field with a date picker ...

You just need another pivot or an index based on expense type into your other data field. We can help you set this up but you'll probably need some "live" support. :)

There are other techniques for this. You could require that the Web service authenticate the user (Windows Auth) or the form (custom certificate). You can also just encrypt the contents and decrypt in code. The chance of someone decoding your keys from a code disassembly is pretty unlikely. qRules provides an easy mechanism for encrypting data ...
