Do you mind attaching your form under the Options tab to a reply? Here's how I usually troubleshoot - I change the fill color to something different on every single thing (I was literally just doing this on a form) and then I can see what the culprit is. Sometimes it isn't the table row I think, or it is a section and not a row - in my ...

I'm happy to help. Can you walk through the library data connection again and add a couple of fields I can use for "helper" fields? Just modify the data connection and add some stuff like "Version" and there is usually a built in field that I think starts with "Copy" - thanks! We need some extra fields in that ...

Makes complete sense. So - you are using SharePoint Online, which I should have noticed right off - and that means this approach will not work for you. That's ok! There are other options! But this is a list form, a browser form, and SharePoint Online is not going to let you use the REST API (either the old or the new version) from InfoPath. ...

Ohhhh - I didn't do anything at all for it to show up. https://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/206575/sharepoint-designer-all-files-missing says that this has to do with settings when you allow the use of SPD.... does the solution there help?

Well, let's figure out what you need here - we can go back to the beginning and get you squared away. What documents do you need from your library?

So - I see in the form load rule where you are changing the REST URL - but when do you run the query? If you put the Name or other identifiable field in your secondary data source, do you have the data you need?

I hope someone else has a better answer - I'm fortunate that I can just keep IE on my machine for these scenarios. You can get the XSN from SharePoint Designer (also deprecated, but perhaps your IT group won't mind it as much as IE?)

Are you using the Hyperlink Control or going to the Insert tab on the Ribbon and selecting Hyperlink? I would use the second approach... then you can just navigate to the secondary data source and select your link. Please feel free to attach your form under the Options tab in a reply if you need a hand. :)

I don't care for default values in general - I'm sort of a control freak that way. I'd much rather use rules. I think it could have been done w/ default values, but the XPath becomes more complicated, and with a rule, InfoPath was able to help us - it knew the "right" thing to do. :)

I can't connect to your server, but I just think better when I can see the schema and it keeps me from having to ask 6,000 questions. :) Try using a rule on cmbg1stApprovalEmail instead of a default value. Save the attached file locally, right click and select Design - then you can preview and give it a test. I removed your default and set a ...
