If the XSD files perform exactly the same you might be able to save your XSD file over the one created by InfoPath. However, I don't know how InfoPath would respond to this (might not like it).

I still don't understand what your saying about making the form look ''professional.'' If you do it correctly the form should look exactly the same with my solution as if you only used 1 DDL for the second list. If you select something from DDL2 while DDL1 is blank and then choose something in DDL1 the selection in DDL2 ''jumps'' from what it was ...

You won't be wasting any more space... One of the two DDLs will be hidden at all times, therefore taking up the ''space'' of only one DDL. You will see both of the DDLs when you are designing your form, but if you hit ''Preview'' all is well. I'm not sure if you could do this with just one DDL, maybe, but why?

Yeah, I think this has to do with MSs little clipboard. I know that on a consitent basis I can copy text from a website or something without having any office apps running, then open Word to paste and it won't paste in. I'm guessing this is because Office doesn't use the normal Windows clipboard and uses something more advanced. Anyway, restart ...

Ben,
1) Establish both of your DDL completely as you want them EXCEPT for the filter on the second DDL (DDL2).
2) Now copy the DDL2 and paste it right next to the original (DDL2a).
3) On DDL2a (the one without any filtering) right click and go to properties -> Display -> Conditional formatting
4) Hide DDL2a when DDL1 is NOT blank
5) Open up ...

Sure thing. A little bit more information: My form cycles through 3 master tables that have all of our products in them and combines them into one big ''Product List'' that goes to the customer. However, we only want to add items from the master tables if the customer actually bought the product and it is going to appear on their proposal (and a ...

Haha, throwing the word ''hire'' around in a place like this is sure to grab some attention - I'm available too!
Anyways, I'm kind of thinking about this as a ''Rolodex'' kind of situation where you have a repeating section with several fields and a button in each one. What you could do is have a hidden field in the repeating section that would ...

This is a pretty late response to mdsmitty, but in this specific case instead of using an OnAfterChange() on the checkbox folder you could use OnSwitchView(). This way instead of processing the checkboxes with every click you do it just once (maybe slight performance gain?). Also, you don't have to worry about depopulating your list on an uncheck, ...

Your going to have to link your options on the DDL to a secondary data source to be able to dynamically pull more than one item of information from them - value and display name. It's pretty easy, do this:
1)Create a brand new blank form in infopath with a repeating table with 2 columns.
2) Rename the first column ''DisplayName'' and the second ...
