Hi, Janine - I moved your post to the Newbie Question category - the forum you originally posted in is for feedback on the site itself. Can you attach a copy of your template? If you reply to this message, you'll see an Options tab where you can attach the file. Or is this not a template you've designed, just one you are filling out?

Send me your file (with the XML as a resource) using this link: https://www.hightail.com/u/QdabraSoftware466460 and I'll take a look.

Without seeing the form with the XML resource file I can't begin to guess. Have you opened the XML in a text editor and searched for "#N/A"? I think in another post, you talked about creating this XML from Excel - #N/A is a common error in Excel, like when a VLOOKUP doesn't return a value. In the last version of the form I looked ...

For the value, in the formula editor, click the button for inserting functions. Find the user name function and select it.

Rules look correct. Can you attach a screenshot showing the issue?

Here is form with just a calculated value with the userName() function. If you are using browser forms, you need to publish to the browser to test. Save the attached file locally. Right click the saved file and select Design to open in design mode.
