• Re: Email not Pulling in Actual User Email, but Another's

Hi Curtis, This sounds odd. Are you using a data connection to pull out this information? If so, kindly display all the firlds from the data connection whre you are querying the data from and see if it does pull out the correct data. If it does show the correct one, would you mind attaching a sample of your form so would have a ...

  • Re: Help with advanced repeating table rules

Hi Daveromine, I believe this is possible in InfoPath. May i know how you would want to display the ID's that are not found on the second list? If you are simply trying to highlight the row, could you try adding a formatting rule to the repeating section and add a highlight color with the condition field1 = field2 (where field1 is the ID ...

  • Re: GetUserProfileByName doesn't update userinfo fields when name picker select a different person

Hi MWAN001, There is no need to add a new data connection for the GetUserProfileByName web service. You may re-use the initial data connection, populate the user account query field with the selected user, and run the query. This should now populate the fields with the desired data. If this does not work for you, kindly attach a sample of your ...

  • Report Builder - Filtering data from a repeating table in DBXL

Have you ever encountered querying data from a repeating table on your form uploaded in DBXL, and adding a filter to your query returns all the data in that document including the ones you don’t need? This happens because the Report builder’s filters are per document filters - if a document that matches the filter has multiples rows, the ...

  • Re: Issues using certain Data Connections with SharePoint 2013 Claims Based authentication

Hi howitzer1972, We have been seeing a some bugs using REST Data Connections on a SharePoint 2013 environment. I would suggest converting the REST and owssvr.dll data connections to UDCX. If it still doesn't work, you may need to modify and add credentials to the UDCX. I hope I am able to point you toward the right direction. Regards,

  • Re: Forms search field default if search item not found

Hi Johneseen, Are you querying data from a SharePoint list? if so, I would suggest adding a rule to the search button that sets a hidden Error text box field to an error message like "No result found". Set the condition of this rule to only run if the Number of rows (of the list's data connection) is equal to zero. Hope this ...

  • Re: How to create a formula IF . PLease!!!!!

Hi, I am assuming that you are using Custom List Forms for submitting to a SharePoint list. Although the the custom form only has the main data connection which submits to it's own list, you can submit data to another list via code writting. There are several available methods out there, but I am most familiar with CAML. Here is a link ...

  • Re: User Recognition

Hi thebigG, Welcome to InfoPathDev. Are you attempting to filter out a dropdown control based on the current user? If so, then yes this is doable, the only problem you would be facing is the limitation of what you can query from SharePoint. May I know how you are categorizing the dropdown for each user? What I have in mind is arranging the ...
