Yes, you can use the table's XPath to conditionally include or not include certain rows (or all rows) during shredding, but your path doesn't make sense. It would be more like:
/my:myFields/my:Form_Container/my:CreateGroup[@my:create = '1']
Where @my:create is an attribute field on the my:CreateGroup node.

The problem was that you have string value starting here with double quotes:
/data, -->"<--xdXDocument:GetDOM("Fogliazioni_GDV_con_mese_e_giorno")/tutto/date/data/dati_fogliazione/tot_pagine_giornale/valore - 40")
then it finds another pair of double quotes here:
/data, ...

This is the expected and intended behavior of DBXL. When a document is deleted, the corresponding SQL data is deleted, so that the SQL data reflects the data in all current forms. If there is some concern that someone might delete all of your documents, I suggest making sure that the appropriate permissions are applied to your ...

DBXL doesn't allow anonymous access, and from what I can find, the "Don't attempt to authenticate" option is designed to prompt for a password when anonymous access doesn't work. Have you tried the Windows authentication option?

Most likely, any SQL statements that make changes to your data are going to be affected by the issue I referenced here:
Re: Inserting multi selection to database via DBXL
and I think the workaround there will work for just about any situation you would want.

I have a feeling the UPDATE is not working because of this InfoPath quirk:
http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/12799/45297.aspx#45297
The workaround given in that post will probably do the trick, but why not have the trigger do this update instead of running the SQL from InfoPath?

Did you add the [. != ''] filtering like I suggested? If EngagementCode is the primary key and there are EngagementCode nodes with blank values (as MSLBs tend to have), that will cause the mapping to fail.
If you try that and it still doesn't work, please attach an updated screenshot, and this time could you make it so the left ...

If you're using an Expression Box, you can select Decimal in the Format As option, and then click Format, you can select percentage. This will basically just show the number multiplied by 100 with all of the remaining digits as a fractional part.
You can instead use a formula like
concat(floor(my:Percentage * 100), " ...

How about
(12 * (substring(date2, 1, 4) - substring(date1, 1, 4))) + (substring(date2, 6, 2) - substring(date1, 6, 2))
