• Re: IP 2003 and Email

The intro doesn't seem to have the formula functionality the rest of the email fields do. You may be able to do this with code. I found a link with some good samples for InfoPath 2007 that demonstrate putting form field information in the intro: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250998.aspx. And ...

• Re: restricting access once submitted\closed

Hello, and welcome! I don't believe you can add rules to a view. What you may wish to do is create two views of the form -- one where all the fields are displayed in text boxes that have Read Only selected under Display in their properties. The other view could be the one with the full functionality. Make the Read Only view the default and ...

• Re: Database Mapping questions ..

Hi, Phil -- also I just finished a blog post on this http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/hilary/archive/2008/07/11/mapping-data-from-nested-repeating-tables-to-a-sql-database-dbxl-v2-2.aspx which may help you when you get ready to start mapping.
• Mapping Data from Nested Repeating Tables to a SQL Database - DBXL v2.2

Sometimes it seems that InfoPath form templates are like snowflakes -- no two are alike. I thought it might be helpful to have more samples of data mapping using DBXL, and figured I may as well try DBXL v2.2 (available for download on Qdabra.com). It's new -- I'm new -- we have a lot in common. I'm also using InfoPath 2007 and SQL ...

• Re: Simple Code to Add Row

Oh, dear. Because that is exactly how I set up the sample I used to test. For the spot where I have "repeatingGroup_2", you would put the name for your repeating table -- I'm probably telling you something you already know, but to find that, right click on your table, select Repeating Table Properties, and, under the Advanced ...

• Re: submit button unable to write into database table

Hello: No, I don't think anything you are doing will require code. First, let's add that field. Change your task pane to display the Data Source task pane Select the main data source Right click the root folder (probably myFields) Select Add Name the field isSubmitted (or another name, if you like) Change the Data ...

• Re: submit button unable to write into database table

Hello and welcome! For problem 1, in order to submit to Access, you need to have based the form off the database when you initially designed it. If you did that, and the controls on the form are bound to the fields in the datafields group in the main data source, you should be able to submit to your table, which will add new records. For problem ...

• Re: cannot get infopath to submit

I'm afraid I'm at a loss, too. The only thing I can think of is that your Submit connection is not set up to the same site as you are looking at. Perhaps you should copy the url of the document library and walk through setting up the Submit connection again, pasting the url in for your SharePoint url?
