Under form options you can uncheck whether the user can save the form themselves. This is different from setting up a submit data connection which saves the form.
-
You need to create a submit data connection and there you can set and control where a form is saved and the naming convention.

oh its a browser form...
I do not think there is anyway to remove that formatting menu. You could check the form code itself but my guess is it is part of form services.
Let us know if you do.

You may be confusing views with forms.
A typical method is to have multiple views in your form, one read only and one editable.

Hey Daniel,
So where is the data you want to use for the autofill located? From the looks of your form I hope it is in a database. It may actually be several tables since it looks like you are combining clients, contractors, companies, and invoicing all in the form. WIth the Database Accelerator you could setup a SQL database for storing your data and interacting with it via an InfoPath form but this would be an architectural change.
The conversion tool I am refering to is a customized tool since it has to be setup ...

All you have to do is switch your submit to rules and then add your field update and then a second action which is the submit to data connection.

Hi Basheer.
So you want a second form to open at the same time as the first? Is this another copy of the same form or a different one?
One of the actions for rules is to open a form. You should be able to go into form options and open and save and rules and add one to open the second form.
Hope that helps.

A couple different options...
We have written applications which will process a spreadsheet and create a new form for each row. Is this something that will be done on a regular basis or is this just a one time action to transition from Excel to InfoPath? How many rows are you dealing with?
Putting your Data in SQL is probably the best, ...
