What are the errors? Make sure you have your form's programming language set to use Visual Basic and not VB for InfoPath 2003.

Hi there!
Wow, you have a lot of different languages going on. To start with, it looks as if you are using VB.NET, but did you know that the double slashes are a comment mark for C#? So your line:
Me.CurrentView.Export("C:\MyView.pdf", ExportFormat.Pdf) //VB-Code
won't compile, because of the "//VB-Code" at the ...

Hi, Patrick:
You can specify the data types in the .xsd that InfoPath generates when you add the data connection to your .xml file. You'll need to save the form as source files or rename it with ".cab" for the extension and copy the files out. Open the .xsd in question and add data types as needed. Here is a link to a great tutorial ...

Generally when you add a repeating table the default is one row. In IP 2007, under Tools/Form Options/Advanced you can select the Edit Default Values button to predetermine how many of each repeating group will be present when you open the form -- you can check there to see how many of each group is included by default.

Hey, Eric:
Installation instructions for DBXL can be found here. I'd suggest reading the server scenarios first to decide where best to install the trial version in your environment. The beta for v2.2 is here.
You get so much more flexibility with DBXL. I have a couple of blog posts on mapping, Ernesto has posted a bunch of ...

Okay, I think I may have an idea of your scenario. Your button is using a rule to submit the form using your email submit connection.... and you are calling code. So it is exactly what you are suggesting. Rules run before code in IP, so the submit rule runs, then any code you have attached to the button. Deselect the rule on your button (no need ...

Hi, and welcome!
So, it appears that your form is set to use JScript as the programming language. Since you are using IP2003, you may have been running across code samples using the IP2007 object model with managed code, which could be part of the reason you are struggling.
Here are some links that may help get you going in the right ...

One more note -- I would think that if you set a rule on a button that was using Rules and Custom Code, and your rule action was to submit a form using a submit connection, and you get the "rules not applied / cannot submit" error -- you may want to look at that submit connection. It could be something wasn't set up correctly for it.

I'm not sure -- I wouldn't think so -- I would think that would be handled by conditions -- you set your conditions to create the scenarios where each rule will run. By "it still didn't work" what do you mean? You had the same error that not all rules were applied? Did you look on the warning to see if there is button you can ...

Hi, and welcome!
This looks like a JScript sample from this MSDN article. To use it, first you need to make sure your form template will be using JScript for programming. To set the programming language for you form, please visit this link for IP2003 and this link for IP2007.
Next, you need to add an onLoad event (or Loading event for IP2007) to ...
