I think you are reffering to promoted properties in a document library. These are promoted from a form when it is saved. I am not sure you can modify them but even if you did they would be out of sync with the form itself. Typically you would update the form, publish, and promoted properties would be updated too. Could maybe ...

Hi Kalpana. InfoPath and SQL are the specialty around here.
A limitation with the default, basic InfoPath Database support is no large data types.
You need to look at the Database Accelerator, which is a package of web services that allow you to query and submit to multiple tables, and use large data types. Qdabra Database Accelerator ...

I am not sure, I have not worked with browser forms but my guess is that you cannot use a print view in browser forms? That IE handles the printing rather than the IP client. You would maybe need an add to switch to the print view before they print so they get the right one.

Is your drop down bound to a repeating field? I thought your field was in the Main DOM and that you were using the dc for the values. For that you would not need the current().
Have you tried this with a field in your main data source? If you use the standard UI you would not get the current in the filter.
Typically you ...

Hi Ed.
So your drop down is working properly? You can use the Value and Display name at the bottom of the properties to set it to display one field while containing another.
Are you using a filter on your set field value action? For Field: you would lookup the field in your view which should contain the name. For Value: you would click on ...

There is a way to set a filter on a set field action but not in the InfoPath UI directly. Greg has a post on here I have used before but the jist is that you set up the set field action as normal and then export the source files and modify it in the manifest and recompile it.
I still would look at redesigning the data schema and reducing ...

Hello.
DBXL can "shred" to multiple nested tables and even seperate tables but some times this can be tricky. The key is that you will need to match your table structure in SQL and your data source in your form.
So if you have in your form
Main
Group1
Field1

Well if you drag the repeating group from your secondary data connection on to your form and it only shows one row then that is your issue not the setup in the list control.
You may want to set up your data connection again. By default you should get all rows of the table. Is this an Access table? Where is the data coming from?

OK so you tried installing the Database Accelerator on your PC?
It will work on Vista but it is a bit more difficult. If you have a server environment that is what I would recommend. However you can install it on Vista. You need to make sure you install IIS. Then .Net. Then SQLExpress, Then DBXL.
From a testing standpoint it does not matter too ...

The list box should be bound to a field in your main data source. Then use the secondary connection as the source for the list. I am guessing that your list box is bound directly to a field in the data connection which is not how you want to set it up.
1 would be to drag a repeating table on to verify what is coming in via your ...
