When I publish an InfoPath Filler form to a form library on SP2010 using GetUserProfileByName, I can successfully retrieve attributes and data I need without issue. However, the moment I change the form type to a Web Browser form, the data services call fails. The only difference is how it's ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by TomRenfro on 02-05-2013 Re: GetUserProfileByName not giving consistent results I think I know what's wrong. We've got two different installations of SharePoint, one is 2007, which is the majority of our implementation, the other is 2010 and are migrating pages and sites gradually. The forms I'm developing are in 2010. Bottom line, the user's profiles on 2010 don't match 2007, so ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by TomRenfro on 01-14-2013 GetUserProfileByName not giving consistent results Hi, everybody. I'm currently constructing a series of forms that uses the web service GetUserProfileByName via a data connection. I'm calling UserProfileService.asmx in the data connection in InfoPath 2010, connecting with a form library on SharePoint 2010, then using GetUserProfileByName to retrieve the current user's ... I'm now tediously navigating all the available commands. Lots to consume. At some point, I suppose the best course of action would be to test using the provided test form and see if I can incorporate into real world scenarios for our organization. We're looking to replace a proprietary electronic ... Is this true for QRules in general? In other words, for control based rules, should postback always be on? I noticed there was a bit of delay while the data was sent to the server. Any ways to speed that up? I know I'm being picky, but I'm trying to give a fair evaluation ... This is the one that uses the DateDiff command with a couple of date pickers, a result textbox, and a button with a rule applied. It works great in a Filler environment, publishes just fine as a web browser form, and displays without issue. However, ... The site I'm publishing to didn't have me as a Site Collection Owner, so I fixed that, and Sandbox publishing wasn't on either. The form publishes fine and displays after that. I checked the User Guide and didn't see anything that said Sandbox Publishing was a requirement. ... Posted to Qdabra qRules (Forum) by TomRenfro on 11-01-2012 Issue getting started with QRules trial and browser based forms in InfoPath 2010 and SharePoint 2010 Hi, I hope this isn't too basic, and a question that's been answered many times before. I searched the site and couldn't find a comparable answer. I'm testing out the QRules product, and when trying to publish a form as a browser based form, I get a message at publishing time that the form cannot be published as a ... On the Sharepoint site, Team Collaboration Lists must be enabled for InfoPath Filler form templates to be published. One of the searches you referenced answered the question, but it wasn't exactly obvious. Thanks for your assistance. Yes, I saw the Google results too, and all the ones I looked at dead-ended without an answer.
