Interesting. I don't understand why it is working on my sample form and not on yours.
Do you have the data validation set on each field?

Yah, I used the if statement so that if this was on the changed event of a field I wouldn't end up in an infinite loop.

Whoops, you don't use the CTRL name, you use eventObj. I'm sorry I confused you, I included the event handler sig so you'd see the (eventObj) argument being passed in. Try:
set objectvariable = eventObj.Source.selectSingleNode("XPath")

Here is a link to the MSDN documentation. For example:

Hi:
This can be done with Data Validation.
You'll need to set Data Validation on each of your three fields. Each field will require 4 conditions. For example, for Field1:
If Field1 is blank and Field2 is not blank or Field1 is blank and Field3 is not blank

Hi, Brooke:
Is your button in the repeating group? Or do you have one button that is supposed to calculate all the repeating groups?
If the button is inside the repeating group, you can use the eventObj variable to select the correct instance of the group.
Your button's event handler looks something like this (with the CTRL name depending ...

Hey, Patrick:
I'd suggest that you clone your node from the sampledata.xml, since you want to make sure that the information isn't copied from the previous row. And you can use AppendChild() to be sure -- as far a performance goes, you'd need to test it, see if it improves the amount of time things seem to be taking.
A few ...

Please check under Form Options / Programming and see what you have for your programming language. You'll want C# (not C# IP 2003). Also, did you add an event handler to a button and then click edit form code and place the code in the event handler? 'Cause no, you shouldn't have to build all that stuff... :)

Just for testing purposes, grab the query & data fields from your current user data source and drop the whole thing on your form somewhere it won't make a mess, like the end of the form. That way you can see if the query runs. Then, maybe deselect your current rules so they don't run, and start adding them back, one at a time, as a new ...
