My best guess would be that the xpath you've put in the line that starts with "nameNode = " is incorrect and that you are getting a null reference because the xpath "my:SelfAssessmentForm/my:LastName") doesn't return a node. In InfoPath 2007, you can right click on a node in the data source task pane (in your case, your ...

I don't think you need Sum, since I don't believe anything is repeating. Try removing Sum and the parenthesis and just leaving the fields and the plus signs.

Hi --
This can be done without code. First, make sure that you look at the values for each of the option buttons you've added to be sure that when they are totalled up, you'll have the scoring you want. For example, you may want to make all 'no' values 0 and give 'yes' values a non-zero amount (some skills are worth ...

The Microsoft Office website has a lot of step by step instructions. Look first for one on creating data connections, and then, after you have that set up, you can simply drag the group associated with the data fields onto the report. If you don't get anywhere looking at the MS site, let me know and I'll give you some detailed ...

I set up the tab index for the first text box in the first column to one, then all the way down the column, incrementing by one, so that column 2, text box 1 had a tab index of 6. When I get to the last cell in the ...

Hi -- does your 'cannot submit error' from the front end have any detail to it? Or does it just say it can't submit?
I created a sample form with an attachment control and used an email submit to send it to myself. I included the form as an attachment, and attached files were present. When I just send the active view of the form, I do ...

Hi--
Usually when I've had this error, it is because my code is causing a rule to run again ... and again .... and again, and the rule has a calculation in it. Could that be the case here? Does the my:QuestionDesc field have any rules set on it?
