That way, if it already has a date, the rule won't run. The contributors folder is not expanded, but I can see "my:TA". This would lead me to believe that "iss:issue/my:TA" would be the correct XPath. You can delete the line for string textBoxXpath, if you like. The suggestion ... As to the issue above, your form will need to be full trust to use this code. I ask because I see that TA uses the "my" namespace, but I'm not sure what namespace issue uses. You could try "dfs:issue/my:TA" if you are based off a DB....Or, you could save your form as source files (I think in IP 2003, it is under the File Menu, Extract form files) and ... Posted to Code (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 09-23-2008 Re: Add field contents to subject of email when submitting Hi -- A couple of things: Your XPath should go in quotes in your code, like this "my:TA" Your XPath is probably wrong, since most likely it is at least in a group like myFields, so "my:myFields/my:TA" If you are using IP 2007, you can right click on the node in the data source task pane and select Copy XPath to get ... See this blog post for more information and a possible work around. As far as learning to code for InfoPath, for the 2003 OM, Patrick Halstead's book Developing solutions with Microsoft InfoPath is a great starting point. I ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 09-21-2008 Re: Customizing the Date Field Hi: I just posted a sample for this here. Basically, it uses a conditional default for a 'helper' field called month (used for the sake of simplicity) and then rules to set the date. I tested it for January values as well. Full information and some instructions for use and testing are in the form. Check it out and see if it helps you. Posted to Controls (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 09-19-2008 Re: how to correct address to upper case You could try substring-after to get the word after the space: substring-after("main street", " ") will return "street", for example. So, using your formula above, if the value of the current node is "main street": concat(substring(translate(substring-after(., " "), ... It is ugly, isn't it! I imagine there is a way in code....
