Last » Re: Repeating Section, The current() Function, and a Button Oh, I like that. Very nice, especially if you have a data source you can't modify for some reason. Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 12-09-2008 Re: Inserting into IDENTITY columns via stored procedure causes IDENTITY to increment at least twice The first call is to generate the schema, which is why it only occurs once per session. Now, for the really crazy part.... If you modify your sproc so that it generates a message (actually, don't know if *any* message will do, that would be interesting to test) by adding a commit without a begin, you may not see the 'every other ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 12-09-2008 Re: Reviewing Attachments with infopath form And then, in your Access Database, the column that you wanted to use for your attachement? Is it text, or character (I'm not very familiar with Access data types)? The thing is, you aren't going to be able to simply bind a file attachment control to a field that uses a text data type. And as far as I know, InfoPath isn't going to ... Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 12-08-2008 Re: Reviewing Attachments with infopath form I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. From your screenshots, it appears as if your form was created off the database you intend to submit to, is that correct? In the database, what is the data type of the Attachments field? I'm asking because I thought that InfoPath wouldn't allow submit on a db bound form if the db had certain ... Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 12-08-2008 Re: Repeating Section, The current() Function, and a Button Fantastic! Love it when a plan comes together.... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 12-05-2008 Re: Repeating Section, The current() Function, and a Button Wow, I'm not sure on that. However, if you can add another field to your data source, we can do this with rules.... in the attached sample, add some rows to the table, type 'yes' in some of them in field one, and click the button, field three gets the date....The rule on the button sets the value of another field that isn't ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 12-04-2008 Re: Repeating Section, The current() Function, and a Button I see, I see. Well, I can't think of a way to do this with a rule. You know, the Action to 'Set a field's value' -- what we really want is be able to put an XPath in there to select only the nodes where the Include in view field is equal to 'yes'....and we can't, now can we! That's why all of your fields get set ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 12-04-2008 Re: Repeating Section, The current() Function, and a Button Here is a quick sample... Righ click the link, save as, open in design mode.... Type yes in the first field of the table and the third field gets today(). Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 12-04-2008 Re: Repeating Section, The current() Function, and a Button Hi there! Now, I may be about to grossly oversimplify the issue, so forgive me if I do.... Can't you just add a rule to the field bound to the dropdown in the 'Include in view c' (and I can't talk about cleverness, I name everything 'test'...) that then sets the date field for that row if the value is 'yes'? Are ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 12-04-2008 Page 1273 of 1327 (13266 items) « First ... < Previous 1271 1272 1273 1274 1275 Next > ...
