As far as the error for the line in your edit -- did you change or modify the data structure in your form at all such that the XPath "/my:myFields/my:CustomFields/my:CurrentUser" is no longer pointed to a ... Please right click the link in the header, select 'Save Target As' and open in design mode. Preview to test. Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-15-2009 Re: HELP how do I Printout of a couple of selected lines from a large IP form Database - based forms usually have an extensible schema, which means, over in the data source task pane, in the Main data source, you can add fields. Even though some of the form fields are then connected to the DB, you can have additional fields in the Main data source that are only in the form. I'm not sure *why* you would need extra ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-15-2009 Re: How to use the value of one field in mutiple record when updating database And what I am suggesting is that you click on the EmpName field in your data source task pane (where you clicked on the group for the repeating table) and set the default value to equal the data node that the drop down you created is bound to. That way, when they select the value from the drop down, all the rows in the repeating table get set to ... When you say
from the first section it never pulls in the data from the second section.
What is the first section and what is the second? Looking at screenshot with your first post, I can't quite understand exactly what you want to do. There's a sample form at this post ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-14-2009 Re: Creating autonumber field You can use translate for this. I'm attaching an IP 2003 template where the default value of the first field on the form is set to display yyyymmddhhmmss: translate(translate(translate(now(), "T", ""), ":", ""), "-", "") is the formula. If you want only digits for year, you can use ... If so, you could set the default value for that 'child' EmpName field to be the same as the higher level field that your EmpName drop down ... I believe the option in IP 2003 is worded slightly differently -- as 'Extract Form Files'. Then look in the folder you saved the source files to. Your view .xsl file may not be called view.xsl -- it may be view1.xsl, or some other ... Is your form based off a database? That is, when you created it, did you select 'Database' in the 'Based On' section in the Design a New Form window? Can you attach a copy of your form here, so I can better understand your challenges? Under ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-14-2009 Re: make the top table stay. Perhaps I've misunderstood what you need. You can put any or all of your controls into the scrolling section on your form. For example, you could create a layout table in your form that has your table header info in it, then put a scrolling section directly below that with a repeating table. If your repeating table was set to not display ...
