First step would be to verify your data connection is performing properly.
Are you setting up your Data Connection in InfoPath or doing it behind in code?
In the InfoPath UI you would just det the dropdown to use the secondary data connection. You would need to requery oviously to get the data updated as you needed.
I have not configured a ...

You need to research the current() function. There are many posts on how to use it here in the forums and in the blogs.

Yes this can be done. I have doen a solution very similar for Managers to request a position through interviews and HR filling it.
You should look at the Database Accelerator as this is key to having an enterprise solution which has the security and performance you need. Qdabra Database Accelerator Suite Version 2.1 - Developer

Are you using Database Accelerator? If so you can use EnumDB which there are some tutorials in the Downloads sections.
You can setup a data connection to SQL directly but you are not able to query this data as you can with a web service.

For that you would append one space.
You would need a = AAA and append two spaces and so on.

Hey Tal.
I think you just want to put a conditional rule on your continue button. Set the condition blue=true or what ever you want. Then the action would be to open a new form. If the condition is not met it will not fire the action. You should not need any code for this.

I am guessing you have a database type form. When you insert a parent record you get a child record too?
This is a common issue and the workaround is to use web services, which allow multiple queries and submits to and you are not bound by the database type form rules. Check out the Database Accelerator to get all the webservices you ...

You should be able to do this with the Sum function and filters. As long as you are outside of a control bound to the repeating group, sum or count will iterate and then you can use filters to limit which rows are counted. I do not think you need the eval's.
So count(orderHW[orderhwid=hwid]) I am pretty sure you can get this to ...
