What if you gave each row a hidden isReadOnly field with a default value of false, and set this field to true when the form is opened, then use that to control the conditional formatting? That should work.

Ok, suppose your main data source was structured like this:
myFields
L attendees
L attendee (repeating)
L name (string)
L attended ...

You can access the and make changes to the main data source in code by using XDocument.DOM. Is that all you're talking about?
However, it sounds like you should be able to accomplish what you're describing by using the Default Values dialog ahead of time. I don't think you should need code to accomplish this.

You shouldn't need to use three nested translate() functions. translate(now(), "T:-", "") or, I suppose, vertalen(nu(); "T:-"; "") should do the trick.
You also don't need to use substring() at all if you want to use the whole date value without removing anything.

What exactly do you mean by "another form"? Another view? Another XML file somewhere on your network or the internet? The answer to the former is a lot easier than the answer to the latter.

That makes sense that you couldn't add a field to a table that's bound to a list. Anyway, I'm glad I could help!

There are two ways to approach this. You can add a field to hold the calculated value for each row, set its default value formula to the formula you want, and then sum the values of that field. Or you can combine the sum() function with the eval() function like in the attached form, which would not require you to add a new field. ...

Could you e-mail the form to Support at Qdabra Dot Com, so we could have a look at it directly?

Thanks for the screenshot. The command you pasted after UPDATE in the last line of your post does look correct. Can you right-click the attendee node, select Copy XPath, and paste the value somewhere, to make sure that my: is the prefix you need to be using. Also, is this in your main data source, or a secondary source?

Hello,
Can you attach a screenshot of your main data source? You can use the Options tab when you reply to attach a file.
