Hi --
As long as everything except the server will be the same (database name, table / view names, etc), you can save your form as source files and then, in manifest.xsf you can change the data connections to point to the new server.
Make a backup copy first!

Hi, and welcome:
If you add a column to your secondary data source that you'd be able to bind your field to, then walk through the data connection wizard again, your column will be available. So, for example, if your secondary data source was from SQL and was a table called Customer, and you wanted an 'Active' checkbox, you could add ...

If you use an expression box, you can use a formula (including functions like 'substring-before').

I think (but I may have misinterpreted what you are doing) that since there isn't a built in way in InfoPath to filter your SharePoint data, you may have been stuck with your '21-filter' solution.... If you were displaying a control bound to the secondary data source on the form, then you would have been able to (for example) add a ...

Hi, Elsa -- welcome to the forum.
As far as I know, there is no upper limit. The schema for the repeating group says that the max is 'unbounded', which means.... no upper limit. Keep in mind that as your xml file increases in size (which will happen as new groups are inserted) you may eventually see some performance issues for that xml ...

Did you miss my post on the browser compatibility issue earlier in this thread? It turns out that with a browser form, you can't display date and time in the same control, so if browser compatibility is required for your form, you'll need to display the date and time field in an expression box to show both.

Your options are limited with SharePoint and repeating data, that's for sure. I suppose there may be a work around to get the maximum (or minimum) of the repeating date fields -- if that were a desireable data point to push to SharePoint....

Here's another version, with an expression box to hold the date time. I set it to browser compatible, and don't get any warnings. I used some formula magic to pretty up the date time (took out that silly 't').

You know what? I just realized you are using a browser form. Date and Time cannot be displayed in the same control in a browser form (which is what you've basically been saying, isn't it!)
Best I can think of is two text boxes right next to each other... no, wait! put in an expression box bound to your date time field and format it ...

Attached to this post is a sample. Right click the link in the header, select Save As and save locally. Right click the saved file and select design to open in design mode. Preview and enter some text in the text field and enter or tab from the field. Rules will set the values in two date pickers. The top is just date, the bottom displays date and ...
